When you say "physical love", do you mean lust? Horniness? A basic animal drive for some action? |
No Bob. By physical love I mean normal husband-wife sexual intercourse. |
Nothing wrong with having lustful horniness for your own spouse.
Quote: |
And when I say a girl might love a film star she may have desires of him making love to her or even simply being with her. This does not mean she is goo-goo eyed, or she has the hots for him (what dreadful expressions). |
It depends on the degree. If she's putting pictures of a pop idol on her wall and is writing him fan letters, then I'd say she has the hots for him.
There's nothing wrong with the expression. It's common slang for a simple feel-good emotion, neither good nor bad. For example, I can say (quite honestly) I got the hots for my wife.
Quote: |
I do not think you understand girls. |
Oh, I don't doubt that! What man truly does? But in that, I am in good company. As Sigmund Freud said, "The great question - which I have not been able to answer - is, 'What does a woman want?'"
BTW, if you ever do meet a man who truly deeply understands women: run. Run away as fast as you can. Such an un-natural man can only be the spawn of the Devil himself.
Quote: |
There is no call for assuming all sexual relationships are physical or that all sexual relationships are dirty. |
Who's assuming that? But as Stellara pointed out, there is an expectation in the Western Hemisphere that prostitutes are skanky and diseased, doing what they must to get enough money for their next heroin or cocaine fix.
Stellara wrote: |
it's clear that most of these girls have many diseases, so as aids, hepatitis and so on. |
One of the most common being clamydia that does not affect men so much, but they are carriers between women for whom it can cause cervical diseases, blindness in infants that pass through it, and sterility. Seems awfully unfair, don't you think?
Quote: |
the geishas in japan there are women who are specified to give sex to other men but are more |
A common misconception. Geishas were schooled in art, poetry, music, and grace. A geisha house was not a brothel. Geishas provided high class companionship and sophisticated entertainment. Geishas still exist today. You can be a grandmother and still be an in-demand geisha. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geisha.
Quote: |
we could start an emancipation discussion here, you're not seriously so antiquated?! |
I'm not talking about emancipation. I'm talking about a committed mutually-supporting partnership. And yes, I am so antiquated. As long as my wife takes care of me, I would do anything for her, move heaven and earth if she asked it. As long as she's faithful to me, I would die to protect her, I would jump in front of a speeding train to push her out if its way. I'm a guy, it's my job.
Mock me if you will, but in 8 or 9 years when you are ready to get married, remember my words: (IMHO) men are simple creatures, much more simple than women. Like a pet, we just want to be fed and petted and spoken to in a kind gentle tone. (I'm thinking that because we just got a new puppy, and what a sweet life she would have if she just didn't keep chewing on the furniture, grrr.) |

As a wise man once said:
You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need.

Twice your age. Old guy!

Well, my family had one when I was young, and my wife had a puppy when she was younger, but this is our first pup together. Sort of a practice child. If we can get this dog through its puppy years, then maybe we are ready for kids of our own.

Her breed is Beagle. My wife loves Beagles. The pup is tri-color (brown, black, and white) with big floppy ears. They are a very people-friendly breed and supposedly a child-friendly breed. When we take her for a walk to the dog park, the pup first goes to greet all the human owners before playing with the other dogs. Oh! That reminds me. She has to get her final vaccinations today. Ouch! |

what's her name?
my sister has a dog, too, she's about a year old now and soo cute she always tries to catch my feet and play with them as if they were independent from me it's so funny to see how she challenges them to play, by nibbling and nudging them.. i really love her.
she's a mix of husky and german shepherd and something else we don't know, so she'd be quite bigger than yours but beagles are really nice and friendly dogs i knew one but he wasn't quite a guard dog as he was supposed to be..

oh come on! you just wanna have some compliments!
you're exactly twice my age?! hey, that's not too old.. as long as you can still hold the flatware by yourself and are able to dress yourself -
but i'd really like to know what's the average age here..

Yours too? Oh my gosh. Our dog loves to chew shoes, slippers, feet, whatever. When we take off our shoes as we enter, we must put our shoes up on a high shelf to keep them away from Lucy.

Does she have the bright blue Husky eyes?

Oh yes, I heard that before! And it is so true. So often I feel like I am just a big kid still exploring the world and trying to find my way. |

funny since i'm not involved..
our dog doesn't go for shoes, she rather chews or feet or hands.. that's cool because they (normally) don't go bust (can i say that?!), but it hurts sometimes because she doesn't know how sharp her teeth are ouch..
no she has brown eyes, i think because the husky part is not so much.
i just try to upload a picture but - wow, didn't think that it would be that difficult.. okay, then not.

You are so right Blossom.
My husband has four states: every day he works, every day he watches television, every night he sleeps, and every other night or so he demands sex. I have to admit he is good at love-making but there is never time for discussion about current affairs of the world, about new books, about friends and what they are doing, or for playing chess or card games. He is kind and I am sure he loves me, and I love him, but the only thing we do together is to have sex. There is more to life and more to marriage than good sex. |
I think I am a lucky a one. we always cook, read, go for a walk, shop, wash clothes.... together.
In my opinion, The Definition of perfect marrige is we can live together. And each of us feel happy. For many people, maybe it is too simple. But it is true life.
My lover is in Dubai while i am in China. We miss each other very much. We just can meet once a year. Recently he told me, he can't bear the days without me and will come back this month. _________________ I am standing on my tiptoe, make myself closer to the sunshine... |

we are not a perfect human being.. how dare we ask for perfect marriage?
Just enjoy what you own.. and share it with someone... I think it is perfect.
If a marriage without quarrel, without problem, without tear... maybe it is not a perfect marriage. _________________ I am standing on my tiptoe, make myself closer to the sunshine... |

then that's how you define your perfect marriage, isn't it?
for me, a perfect marriage doesn't have to be ideal, without arguments ever, without tears and sadness and so on. it's just what you like the most, so it can be perfect for you and your partner.
