nonreflective: capable of absorbing light, noise, or energy instead of reflecting it ( often used in combination )
shock-absorbent
Can I say that the curtains at most theatre are *sound-absorbent*?
Thanks |

How about shock-absorbing or sound-absorbing? I've seen such usage in some documents. |

river, sure, why not?
my husband is a sound engineer, and he
puts this special foam (looks like packaging
cushion to me) on the walls of the
studio to absorb sound. it is "sound-absorbing."
"he put sound-absorbing foam on the walls."
or
"the foam on the walls is sound-absorbant."
hope it helps,

So, "sound-absorbent" and "sound-absorbing" are both okay? |
