My good friend told me: no religion, no problem!

For everyone, religion is rooted and almost unchangable. if we have our own religion, just believe it, if no, just do what you think right.

I am an atheist, sometimes I read some religion books, like Bible, Quran, etc, to open my sight and improve my english. by reading those books, I learned, each religion has something(not all in it) that makes sense. that is what we should appreciate.

For a forum, personally, I don't think religion is a good topic to discuss about. Maybe we should discuss something else. that would be nice.

my dear, why don't you think that religion is a good topic to discuss? When I read your topic, I thought you would discuss it with us. I appreciate it when you said that you read Quran and the Bible to open your sight and to improve your English, good for you my dear Smile

True. It is said, if you wish to avoid arguments, you should not discuss religion or politics.
But without those, it makes for a very boring chat! Rolling Eyes

I fell it's important discussing about this matter...So we can communicate and open our sight to other cultures. No tab= No future problems

In my opinion all the religions love the same god but everyone call Him in different ways...We are the same so why fight?!

Freddie Mercury would sing:"...This could be heaven for everyone..."

I am agnostic thiest. We only need follow the Golden Rule ("Do unto others...) to be a good person.

Religion does more harm than good. Though it inspires people, it also divides people.

And religions are not invented equal. Some are more destructive than others. Like Islam.

And yeah you might say that there are good teachings within it. My friend, it is the poison inside the candy that makes some religion so dangerous and psychotic. Like Islam. Deadly & Insane.

hmm.. i agree with you. what's life without some nice controversial opinions in a chat?! i don't have anything against critic, as long as it's more or less constructive and doesn't slip into offenses.

what do you understand by chatting about gossips? something like "ah, have you heard of brad pitt and angelina jolie..." ?
yeah, it's nice sometimes to chat about that but i feel it's getting less interesting after changing some opinions.. and you can easily get into a "fight" with this topic, too.
you just have to have the right chat partner, i believe..

greets Very Happy

My friend, internet forums are the perfect place to discuss religion. In here you are safe from being beaten up by intolerant religious psychos.

Religion is very interesting to discuss because of its unfounded fantastic claims. It is interesting to see how it turns people into zombies. It is interesting to ponder on how to save people from the most dangerous religions on the planet.

And humanity's history mainly revolves around religion.

Religious discussions are inevitable.

sorry, I am NOT your right conversaion partner. you are too great and too elegant and too graceful. I just guess that an academic forum would be a nice alternative for you.

However, I am learning English, and I wanna have fun with some friends who are generous, patient, funny, not so elegant...

maybe we're just of different opinion here, but i don't see where from you got your impression of me.

i like this forum, i liked the discussion with you about terrorism, too, although you seemed to be a little upset afterwards.

i just wanted to say, that if you mean by gossiping, talking about recent rumours from hollywood or so, then i can't do so much with it.
if you meant something like talking about what someone of your acquaintances/ a stranger did or said, i love it Wink there's nothing better than a little backbiting about someone..

greets..

"backbiting" isn't my hobby, I don't know whether it is yours.

however, when I talk with someone who is VERY learned and elegant, the conversation always turns out to be very boring. I don't know why.

i didn't know the right word.. maybe it's too hard.

do you really think i'm learned and elegant?? why? and why is such a conversation boring? it depends on the subject, doesn't it?

sophian - you either believe the whole Bible or none at all. i don't know much about whatever you call yourself today- are you saying that you believe a little of every religion and put it all together? that doesn't really make sense.

sophion, I used to think internet forums are good places to discuss any issues too, but now I don't think so. internet fight, sometimes, means a kind of bad conversation atmosphere, especially when it is getting deteriorating.
