A Catalan girl told me, if you wanna practice your english listening, you can watching as many English movies as you can.

That is absolutely right!!!

several months ago, my english listening was very very poor. for example, when I watched an english movie, I just could understand some easy english words or sentences like I love you, thanks, what, wow , and then I had no confidence to practice listening skills. but those patient foreigners told me:"don't give up!!! just watch, watch, listen, listen! you would be successful!" I did it in past several months, and I got it!

yesterday. I watched an old hollywood movie, to my surprise, that movie had no sultitle, but I could 100% understand it!! and today, I watched two english movies, I turned off sultitle, tried to listen it, as a result, I 90%understood them(some words sounded very weird, maybe they were slang)

I really appreciate those patient foreign friends and their useful suggestions.

Guys, if you have problems with listening ability, you can try this method, I am sure that you would be successful!

Good luck! iitimone.

and when you think you can partly understand what people are speaking in the movie, just try to turn off the subtitles, and force yourself to listen the pure talking. at the beginning, you may feel kinda difficult, but you will get used to it by time going.
