No worse for wear is an expression used to describe someone/something who manages to make it through a rough experience with little or no problems.
Mary's dog ran away for three days, and she was worried sick about him. But he was at her door this morning seeming no worse for wear. |

In this case, wear is the little-by-little damage caused by use.
e.g.
After about 5 years, your car tires will wear down and you'll need to replace them.
The energetic child wore a hole in his pants.
We fixed up and repainted the house because it was showing a lot of wear and tear after so many years. |
