If you stand on a wall you can either jump down on one side or the other, but at the moment you are in the middle, and therefore uncommitted to eith side.
I guess it is the same as Sitting on the fence. |

i agree, bud.
sitting on a fence, as pugachevV said, would be completely different.
1 - it would be painful
2 - sitting is different from standing
3 - a wall would be made of stones and/or cement.
a fence is made of wood, iron, or plastic. |
