sounds like a poem or lyric to a song. which
means the meaning is purely subjective....
you think about it and decide what it means
to you.
(ok, not the best answer, but i tried)

hey, well, first of all, I'd say it is an example of metaphor because it is certainly figurative language....at least, this is my guess..
hm...I think it refers to one's true character...by lying you actually reveal that you might be a dishonest and unreliable (not quite sure if you can say so) person...your true character gets visible...and therefore the truth concering your person...
that is my guess... hope I could help |

Yeah, many lyrics are ambiguous, sometimes they're related to their background story and sometimes they aren't.
The writers always like to leave us some space for imagination.
So I think toe's answer is the best answer, and Sina's idea is really nice, too.
Thanks! |
