when something does not go as you expected and you feel anxious or upset,it helps to understand that these feelings are part of the package.

at the end of the sentence, can you express the meaning of the phrase "part of the package".

If you buy a computer, several things come in the box (the package): the computer itself, a keyboard, a mouse, cables, etc.

Part of the package is a metaphor. When something doesn't go as you expected, there is a result (a package) that comes with it. One of the components (parts) in that "package" is bad feelings.

The poiltician seemed to be overly sensitive to criticism. He should know that critcism is part of the package of being in politics.

Would it still make sense to say "it's a part of the package here?"

thanks

I'm not sure I understand the question. I could have written it like this:

... He should understand it's a part of the package.

My pleasure!.. Just to be clear, you could use it with or without the article.
