Attila the Hun was an Asian barbarian who terrorized most of Europe in the 5th and 6th centuries. It is common to refer to someone who is ruthless as Attila or Attila the Hun.

And Hun is related to Hsiung-Nu, a Turkic stock harassing Chinese northern borders for centuries and were driven west by the Chinese during Han dynasty, about 0 A.D.

Now I am confused. Is Hun Asiatic or Turkic?

The Turkic race resurfaced as Tu-Chieh in Chinese history. Many peoples in Chinese Xinchiang Uighers (Northwestern) region, some central Asia countries, and present day Turkey, are of Turkic stock.

Thanks to BMO and Bud. I saw the name "Attila" in the movie, "Mulan 2".

Thanks again for both of your knowledge and patience

I thought he was from Asia, BMO, but you may well be correct. I really don't know.
