On the label of a toy it read "Ages 3 and up". I was wondering why "ages" with an "s"? What if it is "Age 1", will it still be singular?

Even if the toy was made for 1 year olds. It would still have the label Ages 1 and up.

The S refers to ALL the ages passed the recommended age.
