Is there a difference between " snarling" and "growling"? Especially about dogs' barking.

Just for fun:
If someone says, "My dogs are barking," it means that their feet are hurting (say after a long walk).
But seriously, if an animal such as a dog growls, it makes a frightening or unfriendly low noise. If an animal snarls, it makes a similar angry sound in its throat but it also shows its teeth.
Growling and snarling are quite different from barking. |

Snarling is more nasal. Growling is more from the throat. |
