Hello everyone, (especially you guys from my course at the University of Antioquia)

I'm a teacher from Colombia and I'd like to hear your opinion about this HOT issue: MEN vs WOMEN.

People have always thought there's a difference between men and women. Some say one is better than the other. Some others say women are uncapable to do some jobs or things men can do (and the other way around)

In some countries, the man has had a higher "rank" than the woman. They have better positions in companies and family, among others. It seems things are changing, though.

Anything to say about it?

Thank you for your participation.

Great topic. this topic reminds me of sexism and feminism.

The more civilized a society is, the less sexism the society has.

I don't think men and women are absolutely equal. it is up to how you understand the word equal. there are some differences between men and women, either physical or mental. but that isn't the point of sexism or feminism.

I mean, if a society is advanced and civilized, then women must have the same social class compared with men. and both men and women receive the same well-being, job chance, the same paying for same work....that is what equality means.

i wouldn't say that. even in the so-called civilized world there is sexism, and not little sometimes.

i also wouldn't say that men are better than women are, or the other way round. that's not true. they may be better in doing something but in general they are not.
it may also be true that women can't do some jobs the way men sdo them, such as construction works just because women have another body which is normally not capable of such hard physical work.
like RedRose said, men and women are definitely different physically Wink and mentally in my opinion, too. but neither is better or worse than the other, to say that would be discriminating.

greets Very Happy

I don't think either women or men are better. they are different, but they should be equal at ideology, society-class.

actually, I can't stand sexism. I think men and women are equal. everyone is equal to others.
