I do not know if you really like china or Korea.
Once I graduated from university, I worked in a Japanese company. I made several Japanese friends there, and our relation is really good.
I had met many Japanese and got along with them, mostly they are kind (at lease on the appearance), polity, serious.
But many Chinese do not like Japanese before getting aware with them. That because,
1. Japan had made unforgivable mistakes not long ago.
2. Prime minister always pays respect to war criminal.
3. Try to beatify the aggression history in textbook.

In fact I do not know the try thought in young Japanese mind about history and China.
So I want to discuss with you more.
thanks |

When people mention Japan and Japanese, I always can't help thinking of what Japan did to our Chinese people. that was so inhuman and cruel.
About 3 years ago, I went to LvShun of DaLian for a medicine conference. I visisted a Prison built by Japan, and the guide told us:"see those bamboo cages? in those years, Japanese soldiers forced Chinese youngmen to weave these cages, and after Chinese finished their work, those Japanese soldiers bended Chinese people into half length and stuffed them into those cages one by one, one cage for a Chinese, actually, then those chinese were still alive, those Japanese soldiers threw those cages into a huge pit which had been dug by Chinese themselves, and then Japanese soldiers covered those cages with soil!"
Listenig to her explanations, I felt very hurt and couldn't help crying, and I asked:"those buried Chinese people were all men? what about their families?" the guide told me:"their wives were raped by Japanese soldier. Japanese even cut open some pregnant Chinese women's bellies and fetched babies out, they cooked a kind of soup named delicious babe soup. of course, those pregnant women died."
Then I just felt like someone was tearing and smashing my heart! that night I even couldn't fall asleep. very hard night. I won't visit that cruel Japanese prison anymore, I can't stand that. |

hi,meisui
when i talk about japan and japanese with my classmates, most of us don't like japan or japanese.not only because of what ur pa or grandpa did to our chinese people, but also the attitude of japanese goverment towards the history, the reality, the truths. they told the young japanese kids,"our country has never done sth like that before, chinese are lying!"
do u know the feeling of the oldmen and oldwomen who were harmd deeply by japanese in the war when they heard this?!and we chinese youth also felt sad and indignant.
on the other hand, japanese work hard ,we should study from u at this point. |

That story about cutting open pregnant women's bellies and eating or killing the child within has been around for centuries.
It is merely an attempt to de-humanize the enemy, so that it will become less disgusting to kill them, and it is part of the standard propaganda used by governments during wartime. |

No,they are not government propaganda that you said to used against japan, they were really happenning during that war, actually most of the atrocities the the japanese armies committed were taken photos which a normal intelligent man would find by search on the net or in the libraries, and the first one informed else world knowing what japanese had done in Naking was a westerner who according to my memory was an official of an foreign embassy. |

Whether it is propaganda or not, generally they are known as vile oppressors who were like good little cats which take pleasure in torturing and decapitating mice, and bring you the headless bodies in attempt to show what they are capable of, haha. _________________ Go where you wanna go; Do what you wanna do; With whoever you wanna do it with ---Mamas & Papas |

Militarily, the Japanese were extremely effective in WW2. Their culture was not the same as that of Europe, America, or even China.
Today, Japan has moved away from that glorification of war and warriors, and today's Japanese are not responsible for what their grandparents did, so why don't you all just drop the subject.
You cannot change what has already happened and an apology will not resurrect any of the dead. |

So what? Don't you think that it's too easy to let 'it' go?
As far as most people in yellow skin concerned, the apology is needed, and the country should have established a charity to take all these matters in its own hands in helping the aged Chinese and Korean women who had been sexual and physically abused during the time.
It is not the matter like you say they are not responsible for killed people just because they are a new generation and didn't involve the massacres and inhuman treatments in the bygone era.
Humanly, the Janpanese government cannot shake off the responsiblity. It should pay off that it owe. _________________ Go where you wanna go; Do what you wanna do; With whoever you wanna do it with ---Mamas & Papas |

And so this lack of a few words, which, in any case mean nothing, promotes anger on the side of the grandsons of the dead Chinese.
It is this kind of unenlightened thinking, driven by ego, that will lead you into war some day.
But of course, if you are angry at the Japanese you may not notice the shortcomings of your own leaders.
For example, how is democracy faring in Hong Kong? |

OMG! what the hell are you talking about? the grandsons of dead Chinese shouldn't feel angry because their gandfathers were killed and now they still receive an apology from the killers? and these grandchildren should keep silent while seeing the grandchildren of the killers are commemorating those terrible killers? maybe we should feel cheerful of death of our grandparents?! in your opinion, that would be useful both of China and Japan? what the hell do you think of logic?

what is the connection between democracy faring in Hong Kong and the crime of Japan to Chinese people? are you ok?
if I told you:"asterix, sorry to tell you that your mom was killed by a man just now, but that dosen't matter, because your family has some severe problem, for example, your brother is drug-addicted. therefore, forget about the death of your mom. because your mom's death can mean anything but promoting your anger. if you always think about it, that is due to your ego!"
This's similar to your viewpoint. Isn't that delirious? |

We don't need any kind of sh/it like an unheartfelt apology, what we need is japan to face their past crimes and truely understand they were so wrong in WW2,yet till now I have not found any clew showing they are different from their forefathers whose hands covered all of blood. If present's german politicians still honor nazi, what will you say?Still "they are not responsible for what nazi did in ww2",so they have right to go on honoring hitler, right? |
