Basically, women are less appearance-oriented than men, I guess. |
i don't think so.. i guess they are just appearence-oriented in another way than women are. they have other point of views.
For example, a study showed that women tend to look at the eyes of a man at first , the at the rest. men, to the contrary, look mostly first at the mouth of a woman but also at the eyes.
so, i think, men have just other "priorities"

I am talking about this topic on appearance oriented,is there something wrong with my post?
As for quarrel, and if you want to quarrel with someone, you'd better accuse the first one who starts it,not the one who follows it. |

yeah, there is indeed something wrong with your post. For example, we're here in an english forum, so do you mind writing your opinion in english so that everyone can understand it?
as for starting and following, i wrote my opinion in the other thread.

Now i have to agree with Mr.Admiral, can you please discuss here about the topic - if you have forgot what it is, it's written above - and stop your damned argument?!? This is really bothering.
I f you have to, use your own thread and don't trash this one! _________________ Don't cry because it's over - smile because it happened!

ok, let's come back to the topic, appearance-oriented.
Today, one of my students helped me remove some stuff into my office. I found that he seemed to be in a bad mood, and then I asked:"what happened? may I help you?" he told me:"teacher, I am in love with a girl in my class, but she dosen't feel the same as I do. I am despressed."
I asked:"did you tell her about your feelings?"
"Not yet! but my friend told her about my feelings for her. I just have no courage." said he.
I got shocked when listening to him! so I said:"go and tell her you like her! if she says yes, it is ok; and if she says no, then you have nothing to lose! why not tell her yourself?"
He said:"teacher, you see, I am awful-looking, that is why I have no courage! "
I said:"it has nothing to do with appearance! it is about courage!"
I hope he can success, he is an intelligent, well-tempered boy, and yes, he isn't good-looking. however, if he can become that girl's husband in the future, I guess that girl would live like a princess. |

But he could lose his proud.. that's a strong motivator to do or mostly not to do things.
it's difficult for people who aren't so self-confident to bite the bullet
but i agree that he should have told it himself. it just makes a better impression than to send his friend. what should the girl think? if he doesn't even tell her himself that he likes her then what would he do if they were in a difficult situation one time? lie to her, or send another friend?! she couldn't rely on him..

yeah! If I were that girl, I wouldn't rely a guy who even dare not tell me his feelings himself!
and that girl isn't as intelligent as that boy, I mean, at lessons. but this girl is so pretty! I remember an author said:"wit, knowledge, fortune, money....all these are unremarkable compared with a pair of beautiful eyes!" |
