The movement of mail order brides is less a flow of women from non-white to white countries than from poor to rich ones.

I don't really understand the comparison here. Could anyone point it out?

so there are more mail order brides (those beautiful, loving, and family-oriented women) traveling from poor to rich countries to meet men for friendship and marriage than there are going from non-white to white countries for that purpose.
