Nice topic.
However, I haven't had any ideas of inventation, but, let me think a moment...
I think I'm too silly for real inventations, but if we talk about registered patterns, I would say:
1) We all know that during learning, we sit a lot at a desk.
So sometimes, we sway our legs while we are thinking.
So, we could put a machine there which transforms the kinetic energy of our legs into thermal energy or electric energy, namely a pedal placed accordingly to the movings of your legs, with a cable leading to a battery.
That's a good invention in our time because it is based on effective sustainable energy.
2) In wars, every country wants to look at the other's discussions.
Or in the daily life, we want to look at the girls having a shower, or at them changing cothes.
So, we could try to put a very small video camera on a very small, remote- controlled flying roboter. (Which looks like a butterly, for example.)
And sometimes, during important exams, we need an efficient way of spying.
So we could construct a screen on a contact lens and a signal on that butterfly and we could look at the other's results.
So, if I have time, I will think of other practical inventions... |

Admiral's inventation was very creative! I feel you would probably win the award of the most creative inventor.
ok, I will try to put my inventation here. but I am sure that it's hopeless for me to win the award.
When I was about 12 years old, I read a piece of newspaper on which there was some news "Music can make hens produce more eggs" it definitely enlightened my inspiration! I put my sound recorder into a hencoop, and I turned on the sound recorder. after that, I went back to my room to sleep. the next day, I found that plenty of chicken dejecta covered my sound recorder. OMG! my first inventation looked so terrible! I didn't want my mom to find out the truth, I had to wash the sound recorder under a water faucet. Finally, the sound recorder became unavailable....it didn't work anymore |

well i invented some things when i was still a little boy
I used to play with electric lights and small engines and magnets that i took from old radio's and copy machines. I think the idea came from a movie one's. I wanted to watch a movie in the evening but my parents said i had to go to bed. So I took a electric magnet and attached it to my bedroom door. I made a pannel with nine pins and two wires on it and connected them to the magnet. so if you connect the two wires to the right pins of the pannel the magnet pulled itself away from the door and yay the door was unlocked. but the next evening my parents forced me to unlock so that was not good enough. so i took my moms eh baking alarm clock (don't know the name) and attached the power source to it. set the timer on two hours and locked the door behind me manually. now my beautifull lock system did not work until the clock counted for two hours and swiched the power on. now nobody could enter my room until after those two hours plenty enough time to finish watching the movie
I builded lot's of those kind of things when i was about 10 or 11 years old. it was my biggest hobby. so not really a big invention but at least i got it to work
anyone of you ever had that kind of hobby? |

thanks. but I don't think I deserve that much credit
let's say, we give a kid a battery and some wires and a few lightballs and maybe a switch.. you would be amazed how fast (if the kid has the interest for it) he manages to get the lightballs to work and then give him a radio |
