Hi. I'm a Japanese college student.

I'm reading the book of "And Then There Were None" of Agatha Christie.
It's very exciting and interesting!!

Do you have books to recommend ?
I'm looking for splendid books Laughing

Dear Janne da!

My favourite book is "Sabriel" by Garth Nix.
It is full of suspense. It is about a brave young woman, who is learning to be a magician.

Bye Wink

I really liked the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. Also, one of my favourites is Sophy's World by Jostein Gaarder, tells lots about philosopy. I read it in Spanish, the title is El Mundo de Sofa, but the real one is Sophies Verden.

I've read lots of stuff, but most of them in Spanish... I wanted to read this trilogy, His Dark Materials, but I have no idea of what it is about, I wonder if someone could tell me!

Anyway, it's always great to talk about literature!

Bye.

Ive heard somethng about the dark materials, but I think that it sounded like "la materia oscura" in Spanish. But I really donnt know what it is.

Yikes! Thanks ya! For some reason it seems to me that I've heard it before... I shall ask my dad, he's the one who's always updated with literature's stuff.

Now well, I'm sorry I don't know who's that author you mentioned.

Hasta luego! Smile

Ive heard that Jos Saramago is an excellent writer, but I havent had the oportunity of reading any of his books. I would like to read "El Evangelio segn Jesucristo" written by J.Saramago, but I still have to finish the pile of books I have on my table.
Well, nice to hearing from you, bye.

Hehe! El evangelio segn jesucristo, I was about to read that one too, but my spanish teacher lent me La Caverna which is very good so far.

Jos Saramago won a Literarure Nobel Prize in 1998, he IS an excellent writer, indeed. Smile He came here to CR this year, my dad and I went to listen him talking. It was very interesting and the best of all was that at the end my dad took me a picture with him!!! I was sooooo excited that I was trembling... I was sooooo glad to be there! Very Happy

Anyway, after I finish La Caverna I'll be reading El Crimen y el Castigo by Fedor Dostoievski, something like that... Guys, again I don't know the translation to english. Sad Right now I know nothing about this book, but I'll tell you when I begin it.

So, have a nice day you all!

Wink
