Hello everyone.
The following are lines sung at the beginning and at the end of a short story called Chicken Jane in the US TV program Between the Lions.
Look. Look. See, see. Coming down the lane. Here comes Scot. Here comes Dot. Here comes Chicken JaneLook. Look. See, see. Going up the lane. There goes Scot. There goes Dot. There goes Chicken Jane.
I am wondering in what situation you say you go down the lane or go up the lane. Do I understand you say you are going down the lane when you go away from your home along the lane and that you say you are coming up the lane when you come back to your home along the lane?
Any comment would be appreciated.
Best regards,

Hello, FW.
That would be my interpretation. The passage/song seems to be an excerpt from a children's book. _________________ If a man constantly aspires is he not elevated?
