OALD7shows:
year on year (used especially when talking about figures, prices, etc.) each year, compared with last year: Spending has increased year on year. ◇a year-on-year increase in spending

Is there any counterpart in American English?

PS Last night I made a wrong posting as an addition to an irrelevant topic.
I deleted it and set up a new post.

Hello, Hiro.

"Annual spending/cost increase" is the best that I can do.

Would "year-by-year" work? For example,

Here is a graph of the year-by-year comparison of the sales.
