				Dear Teachers,

Which of the following sentences is correct? If they're both correct, do they mean the same thing?

a. I have graduated from college for 10 years.

b. I graduated from college 10 years ago.

Thanks for your help. Have a nice day!!

Sentence [b] (simple past) is correct. We know what you did (finished college) and when you did it (ten years ago).

Sentence [a] should read: "I have graduated from college." The present past tense tells us that you successfully finished college. But we don't know when, although this tense implies that it happened recently.
