Dear Teachers,
Which of the following sentences is correct? If they're both correct, do they mean the same thing?
a. I have graduated from college for 10 years.
b. I graduated from college 10 years ago.

Sentence [b] (simple past) is correct. We know what you did (finished college) and when you did it (ten years ago).
Sentence [a] should read: "I have graduated from college." The present past tense tells us that you successfully finished college. But we don't know when, although this tense implies that it happened recently.
