I am doing a project for an ESL course on students from Turkey.

Please answer some questions if you are from Turkey.

What are some of the problems students have when they first try to learn English?

What is school like in Turkey?

Do students have difficulty with other cultural issues when they study in another country?

Things like body language, gestures or non verbal language, concept of time, expressions of friendliness, eye contact, style of dress, gender differences, festivals and holidays, customs, speaking in class and asking questions, attitudes towards punctuality, music art drama or physical education in schools.

I am from Turkey and i am an ESL student.
I first started learning English at primary school 4th grade.Since i was a very keen student about english and a lucky one who had an excellent english teacher,i didnt have diffuculties in learning it.I took enough help from my teachers and even from gazzettes that gave some materials for beginner students.
