I like many films.

If you people knew what was good for you... You'd see the following films.

Dr. Strangelove
Pulp Fiction
Lawrence of Arabia
and the entire collection of Ghibli Studio movies.

Being a bit of a campaigner, I can't help but mention that my favourite movie ... wrong term that because I actually find it depressing... my "most important" movie for the current crisis is...

www.endofsuburbia.com

It documents peak oil, which is basically the end of cheap oil.
Once oil peaks and begins to decline, the airlines will go bankrupt and that's it we are in the Greater Depression. Why Greater? Because this will be like the 1970's oil crisis, but this time it's permanent! There will be less oil, less quality oil (the sweet oil is turning sour) in less accessible places. End result? Oil prices could triple, and then eventually do so again.

The End of Suburbia sounds like Mad Max. While there are a lot of "Doomers" out there, I'm not one of them. But I do think this is incredibly serious and requires massive government intervention. Actually no, that's not me... that's the USA's Department of Energy peak oil report called the Hirsch report. You can download that on my home page.

Cheers, and good luck whereever you are. The end of the oil age is almost here, who's going to be filling up at $500 per tank? Rolling Eyes
