Hello,

what are the other ways of writing this?

They complained that 'A' did very little work and they had to do a lot of work.

The teacher complained that he did very little work on his assignment that she gave him an extra assignment to complete and turn in with his project.

His mom was upset that he did not do study hard enough on his test so she grounded him for the entire weekend.

He did so little work on his assignment that he needed to do more next time to receive a better grade.

It was obvious that so little work went in to the project, that another company outbid the contract.

who else can give more examples? iitimone7

Can you clarify the situation? Do "they " have to do "A's" work because he was lazy and didn't do it himself? Does "A" simply have a different job or work schedule so he naturally doesn't have to work so much, and "they" are jealous because of it?

A here is a person who is lazy. 'They' are other people who have to work hard to feed A. They don't like it . they complain that they are working a lot where asa A does not work at all and just sits doing nothing enjoying the fruit of thier labour. Thy are a little jealous of it. But emphasis is on the complaint they make against their working more.

I hope I have given enough information.

Here's one possibility:

They complained that they had to work harder since "A" did so little.

They resented having to pick up A's slack.

They resented having to pick up the slack of A who was a lazy goof-off.
