Hello, teachers!
A and B are going to go on a date.
A:"Why are you so late? I've waited for you more than 30 minutes!"
B:"I'm very sorry. I was stuck in a traffic jam."
A:"You are making the same excuse as the previous date."
Is using "previous" here OK?
Do we need "on" after "as"?
Thank you in advance!
With regards,

using previous is ok, but it sounds too formal for a date.
I would use "last date"
And yes, you need "as". |

Hello, Hayde-san.
Thank you for your quick response!
Your advice is quite helpful.
But, please let me ask you again.
>And yes, you need "as".
What about "on" (after "as")?
"You are making the same excuse as on the last date." is OK?
With regards,

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I though you meant "on" or "as".
I am not sure if it is ok or not, I'm sorry It doesn't sound wrong to me, but it doesn't sound perfectly ok either.
"You are making the same excuse as on the last date." |

Thank you again , Hayde-san!
I understand that "・・・as the last date" is more natural.
