Hello, teachers.
What does 'panel study' mean? I found it in a paper which says, "The sudy is based on an analysis of data on more than 6,000 young adults from the Panel Study of Income Dynamics and on U.S. decennial census trends." I looked up some dictionaries and only one shows its meaning, but it is still not clear to me. It says, "a systematic review of a set of people and their attitude and opinion changes over time."
What is Panel Study of Income Dynamics? Since it must be a proper noun, is it the title of a research or a sort of organization?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,

Hey -
A panel study is when a group of people are brought together to share their opinions on a speecific issue. The "Panel Study of Income Dynamics" you ask about probably meant that the people were asked specific questions about their perceptions on income. (They may have asked questions like, "Do you think an increase in income will improve your work ethic?")
Does that make sense?
