Do you think that plastic surgery is becoming popular all over the world? Why are people so overwhelmed with their outer appearance? Please comment.

Yes, it is becoming really popular. I am living in SOuth Korea now and it is really, really popular here. It is so stupid. The worse is in America. There are tons of kids under 18 (sometimes 12) getting plastic surgery or breast implants. What kind of a parent allows that!
And also there is a lot of liposuction now. For people who think that will help, NO!. You will just gain the weight back if you are lazy with bad eating habits.
I could go on, just another problem I really hopes goes away soon.

I just want to add that young children (mostly girls) in other places are doing it too. I have heard it is now starting to become an option in Canada, Korea, and Japan. Sorry, didn't want to pin it all on America

many girls become very beautiful after taking some plastic surgery. that's their busioness, not mine.

As for me, even if I am very ugly, I will never have any plastic surgery. I am against that kind of surgery personally. I accept the recent me.

The most ridiculous use of plastic surgery I have heard of is Asian girls having their eyes altered to be more like caucasians.

Ya, I think that is what he means. I also think this is horrible. It's funny. Western women are always tanning to look darker and asian women use creams, washes, etc. to look whiter. Why not just be who you are?

IT�S THE MAGIC OF ADVERTISEMENT THAT SOOOOOO MANY PEOPLE FALL PREY TO��..

For good or bad this world is being run genius people (including evil geniuses!). Some lonely scientist might have come up with some stupid so-called fairness cream or �The Ultimate Tanning Cream 200X�. Scientists patent their inventions to get money, now who buys their inventions? the big industrialists, so that they can make huge amounts of this product, sell them to the poor public and get money. Now these are the business people they can�t go from door-to-door to sell their �magic-wonders�, that�s where the marketing people come in. They create this EUPHORIA, the concept of so-called ultimate beauty that everyone wants and they go like, �Buy our product, use it and you can be this ultimate beauty that everyone wants�, now the more people buy their product (fall victim to their created concept of ideality), the more money they get. The vicious cycle continues and the sponsors spring up, they hold up the beauty pageants, the winners signs up a contract for their products, goes around the world in name of world peace and actually promotes not only the products but also helps MATERIALIZE THE CONCEPT OF ULTIMATE BEAUTY.

After all you know it is the �survival of the sickest, oops I mean fittest�, these people cash money on hopes of other people. But people really have to open up their eyes and see beyond the pretty face they see on TV. Parents can play a major role, if you only tell your child that he/she is the prettiest person and you will always love them for whoever they are, the child feels SECURE about his appearance and hopefully will not fall prey to plastic surgery. Be your child�s best friend, don�t let your child be blinded by what he sees on TV, tell your child how each and everyone of us is pretty and precious and unique and will always be cherished for what he does and not how he looks.

I heard on my TV a little girl had written a letter to some TV program and she wrote �My mother has bushy hair and she dies them at home with mehendi (its a red/orange color obtained from plants of mehndi, very common in Pakistan) but some of her hair are still white and black. My mother has broken teeth and she is the most beautiful women in the entire world�. When it comes to true love appearances really don�t matter.

My grandparents loved each other from the day they got married as a young couple to the day that they were very old, with wrinkled face, broken teeth and lots of tiredness in their weak bodies. Now that is true love�.where you love the souls and not just the pretty faces.

i am person is with and against plastic surgery on the same time u am with in only one way when a person has a very ugly face he must make a plastic surgery other than that i am against it and also i am againt it when popular persons or celebrities make these surgeries to make themselves look more beautiful finally i want to say that these plastic surgeries should be done only for people who need it and not for everyone in the world and the person should satisfied with the shape that god gives him.

I'm with plastic surgery because in some cases the life of the person will change from the worst to the best,and he become more sociable.Now plastic surgery is the most important surgery in medicine.

yes of corse plastic surgery now is more popular because people now think that the priorotie is for their apperence ,and also this surgery is now more cheeper than the past . Also the technologie make a very good doctors and this surgery don't take a lot of time .

Plastic surgery become very popular in our country . specialy for celebreties . for us we think that it is not false to do plastic surgery if a person need to change or fix some default in his face or his body . but we think that we don't have right to change our outer apperance because it's a gift from God .

plastic surgery are acceptable in cases and inacceptable in others ,,people who are distorted in accidents ,like a fire accident ,a car accident, are obliged to do a plastic surgery, because they can't live in the sociaty in a awful look .
But people who want to improve their look tehy shouldn't do this surgery.

Plastic surgery is the most popular surgeries in the world ,because all the celebrities have all ready done it,and all the people though that they will be like the celebrities if they done it too.
our opinion is that this kind of surgeries are playing a important role in human personal life and it gave them more of self confidence.
