Hello,

I already received some answers from people in the US and Australia. However, I would like to know how it is like in other English speaking countries.

I'd like to know how you address your teachers. Do you use "Sir", "Mister" or their first names? What about if the teacher is a woman? Is there a difference when you are in elementary, middle or high school?

If possible, when answering, specify where you are from, so I can have an idea where this or that is used.

Thank you for your help.

I'm from Canada.

We use Mr., Mrs., or Miss in the East and the Centre. I am pretty sure the west does the same.
Even when I went back to my highschool to visit after university, I had to say Mrs. Spinney. I couldn't think of calling her anything else.

I cannot come up with anything else than "Thank you very much." You are very helpful and I appreciate. If you don't mind, I would like to ask you where you are from in Canada because you talked about two different regions of it. Did you live in different places?
