I think men don't search for older women in the first place and women don't search for younger men in the first place.
You have to look at statistics, not at special events.

my recent bf is 5 years younger than me. that means when I was 5 years old, he was just born. sounds pretty weird. but when we walk together, it dosen't look that weird.

For you Asian women it is not so bad to have a younger man because you naturally look so much younger than your true age anyway. My wife is 2 years older than me, but often people who meet her for the first time mistakenly think she is a little more than half my age.
