Yes, all are correct in different circumstances.
1. This is correct, but awkward. It would be used in a general sense of the job.
2. This is also correct, and much less awkward.
3. This would be used to refer to a nonspecific fire put out by unspecified firemen.
4. Ambiguous firemen, specific fire.
5. Ambiguous firement, multiple & specific fires.
