Hello, teachers!
Don't pay too much attention to what others think of you.
Is it OK to paraphrase "what others think of you" to "the way others think of you"?
With best regards,

Hey -
Both versions work, but I am partial to the "what" option.

reading the question and answer, I realised that English is not the native language of many readers, i realised how confusing the answer must be for learners when it said:
but I am partial to the "what" option.
because i NEVER, EVER say "I am partial to". I dont know any one who says "I am partial to". Its a phrase from old black and white movies when people spoke differently.
The answer with what is a better choice. |

Actually, I have on occasion used "I'm (more) partial to..." If you check the web, you can find many instances of it being used. _________________ I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.
