Hi everyone!

Im from Bratislava (a capital of Slovakia). Im very curious how it is in your countries - Nazism, racism etc.... Please write me how do you fight against these unhuman styles...
In my country therere lot of groups trying fight against these people but its very difficult because Nazis are stronger and stronger... And they dont attack only black persons or another persons of different colours of face. They attack also persons like punkers, metallists or weaker part of our world - children, women...

On the fourth November in the evening young student was walking on the river bank with his friends in Bratislava.
(This student was called Daniel and he was from other Slovak town - Zilina. He was 21 years old, student of philosophy at university. He was different - HE HAD LONG HAIR. He was a musician - guitarist. He was very favoured, he had many, many friends, his teachers and classmates liked him very much because he was friendly and nice.)
Six boys were talking and having fun. Suddenly nearly fifteen 18 - 20 years old men (or boys)- Nazis -surronded them. It was very fast. Men started to beat them and boys had no chance to fight back. Some of boys tried to escape and ran to the near pub and they were shouting about what happened but no one helpt them.
Nazis disappearded very quickly and boys were hurt. But they survived. Except Daniel, attackers used knife and put it into him. During the transport to hospital he died.

This was the last attack without response...
Slovaks rised up and expressed their disagreement. On 9 November many many Slovaks met in front of presidents palace in Bratislava and were openly talking about racism and attacks in our country. Then people were walking through the city with candles in their hands to place were was this young boy killed. There they put candles on the ground and devoted a minute of silence to dead boy.
On 10 November in Zilina (town were Daniel was from) there was his funeral with many teachers and students from university, his friends and family...On 12 November there was a concert against violence on the river bank where this sad event happened.
A regret expressed also many Slovak politicians.

Police hasnt found murderers of Daniel yet. They are still searching.

The sadest is that somebody has to died for realizing that no one is secure. Daniel wasnt neither the first victim of violence nor the last...................

WE have to FIGHT, we cant let it be!!!

I hope, you are interested in this and you arent indifferent to violence in the world.
What do you think about it? Im looking forward your opinions.

I know my country, china, has many problems recently. but as far as know, China has the least racism in the world. in my country, mostly, people respect foreigners, sometimes we feel curious about them though, and Chinese government gives many priorities to the minorities. I even wish I was a minority sometimes. in that case I could enjoy many advantages such as extra money and free trip yearly, and if I were a minority, my daughter could attend university more easily in the future....oh, so many advantages....

as for violence, it exists everywhere. I don't know how to get rid of it. but I never use it I guess.

Thanks for your answer RedRose. I was interested in it.

In my opinion its great that so big and strong country like China is so kind to minorities. Its a display of tolerance. But on the other side the most important for government of each country should be majority...

And violence? I know it exists everywhere and this is why Im so sad and annoyed...

yeah, in my country it's also a problem, probably more than in slovakia because of germany's history. but as sad and horrible history was, sometimes i believe nobody has learnt anything from it Evil or Very Mad Rolling Eyes
you'd think especially in a country which has such a history with nazis like germany the people would react in a stronger way when they see nazis. but the nationalistic party here is even growing! i just can't believe it!
it's really sad...
greets

Tkank you stellara...

I agree with you (nobody has learnt anything from history). Its really horrible that there are still people like Nazis and its very difficult to stop them...

But if we dont stop them what will be after a few years? Will we have to be afraid go out from flat or house without their attacks?

We should prepare better world for next generations....

It is indeed very very sad, but your not alone, sadly it happens everywhere one way or the other the powerful people are bullying the weak everywhere on this planet. It has been like that since the very begining.

Slavery is evident in some of the earliest records of human history. The very earliest men are found with weapons alongside them, it seems humans were able to prepare weapons even before they could build decent houses.

But seriously what can we do to stop it on global level??? but we can start with baby steps from our own surroundings and home, in school, in market place, may be that will help.

Thank you Infrared ...

Youre all right, the violence is everywhere and more terrible than I described. But it was only an example.

And I think therere lot of ways how to stop it. You wrote start with baby steps, the right education and mainly parents love can help. An attitude of public can help, if we try to ged rid of prejudices. People should unite and urge government to do something against the violence....

...But I know it isnt very easy and my ideas are only dreams....In spite of all, I still believe that once itll be better.

Hope dies the last.... Smile

Hi. I'm from Turkey and it's not very charming in here. Last week, some racists kidnapped a leftist painter and raped her. Such attacks on people (especially people with a different political view than the majority) are very regular in my country. If we do not stand up and fight racism today, tomorrow would be too late.

Hi Mitchy!

Im sorry, I havent written sooner but I didnt notice your reply.

I agree with you.
I think sometimes we dont realize that the racism is a so important topic and its so important to solve this worldwide problem. Until we become a victim of racism.

Most of people in the world still dont know how its important to do something. And you are right:
If we do not stand up and fight racism today, tomorrow would be too late
