Dear linguist,
Is it possible to say " He took in the circumstances in no time",
meaning that he realized what was going on very quickly?
And, could you possibly think of any other way to connect the word "circumstances" with "to take sth in"
I'd be very grateful to get your answer.

"He realised his circumstances in no time"
"He guessed his current circumstances in no time"
"He adhered to the circumstances in no time"
"He adjusted to the circumstances in no time"
"He understood the circumstances in no time"
I dontknowwhatyou meanby "to take sth in" _________________ ab2146 |

Hi,
Thanks a million. "take sth in" = understand
It's pretty clear now, that the word don't go together.
