Yeah, it is difficult. I think silent letters like in the words phone are supposed to drive ESL students crazy.

I know it's quite hard for certain languages to learn English and pronounce it also correctly

I first had really difficulty in understanding Japanese people as there the "r" sound like "l" so : red lorry yellow lorry would sound like led lolly yellow lolly. I know have difficulty understanding Americans if the swallow the words, as the ones from New York or Texas. It might be because I learnt in England and also worked there.

If you have questions about pronunciation you can ask, I might be able to help you. Got some good books.

well, i'm a student of english school study. I agree with leeunec that is learning English is quite difficult. But, as we know that we need to improve our English in order to face our technology life. Why? It is because the English has been use widely especially in Science and technology.
Ya, sometimes i find myself very difficult in improve my English. But i try my hard to make my learning enjoying. So that, i can learn it better and faster.
I notice myself improve a bit in English when i always listen and watch english programs either from tv or radio. It's really enjoying and fun. Thus, you all outside must try to make learning English become fun and enjoy if you want become an effective speaker of English later.
I advise people out there who find that learning English is difficult to change your mindset and always think that it's easy as ABC. The most thing that you should ever do is Don't give up. Keep work hard and never think negative...Absolutely you will success..

english is an important language and im very sure each and every homo-sapiens should master it for their daily usage..learning english supose to be started of in the ealy adolescent stage where children would be exposed to interesting learning materials which will enable them to learn and speak english in a proper way...parents should play an important role by providing them good and condusive learning environments such as sending their children to well-established english mediukm schools sych as missionary schools....learning english can be started off at any age n eventhough ur alredy in the varsity era,english can stil be mastered through speaking up the language with friends who have good command in their english language as well continue reading loads of books either fiction or non-fictional...

English is not difficult, if you learning and learning... I can't speak English very well, because I'm lazy girl! But my soul compeling me learn this language and I learn.. Oh, It's very heartless to me...
