A creamy but tart pie made from limes that grow in the Florida Keys (islands at the south end of Florida). Please try a slice! |

Hi Bob
If only I could, I will try it.
I do love pizza.
I suppose I have never eaten a pie.
Can you tell me is there any difference between a pie and a pizza? _________________ George Bernard Shaw once wrote: There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire, the other is to gain it.

Yes and no.
Pie generally refers to a dish made with a flat bread base (usually round in shape and raised edges) and food stuff filled in the middle. Commonly it refers to a sweet dessert pastry (fruit filling or pudding filling with meringue topping). But other foods can also be pies. Pizza is sometimes called pizza pie because it is basically the same shape (flat bread bottom, filling/topping in the middle). Quiche is often served as a quiche pie. |
