Hello,
How cold is chilly? Is it about "cool"? Is it colder than just "cold"? Is it less cold than "freezing"? Do you have many other ways to describe "cold"?
To make it more complicated (for me!), I've read a couple of times "... cold and chilly." How can it be both at the same time?

adjective: uncomfortably cool (Example: "Chilly weather")

Thank you for the dictionary definition.
Still, how come people say "cold and chilly"?
What other words can you use to describe to what degree it is cold (besides cool, chilly, cold and freezing)?
Anyone? |
