There are 3 big pyramids and many smaller ones around them.
The sphinx is also part of the Giza plateau area. You can see them from [quote=http://maps.google.com/]Google Maps[/quote] satellite images. Type in "Cairo, Egypt" in the search line. From central Cairo, look southwest for the 3 squares, then zoom in.

There are hundreds and thousands of theories and less known facts about the pyramids. I love their mistery. For example, did you know that the 3 pyramids of Cairo were actually aligned in correspondance with the 3 stars in the Orion belt? Just google the words "pyramids" and "orion" and you will find thousands of websites on that theory.

I once dreamed that I'm running in a pyramid with thousands of mummys chasing me. After this, I really wanted to visit egypt.
