Hi, teachers.
I am trying to understand the following sentence:
"He has a convincing air of competent originality"
Does this mean "when someone sees him, he/she is convinced that he is competent and original"? I am often puzzled when there are many abstract words in one sentence...

Hello.
I'd interpret the statement the same way you you did. That person definitely appears to be competent and original. |
