Hallo people,

is there anybody who can explain the following sentence? I don't understand the meaning of it.Sad
It is a phrase used on the telephone, so I think it would be nessecary to understand.

Could you read that back to me?

Thank you for your help.

Depends on the context, but in general repeat something that was Just said.

For example:

Person A: The number is 3 3 5 6 7 8 - 9 0 1.
Person B: ok
Person A: could you read that back to me
Person b: 3 3 3 5 6 7 8 - 9 0 1.

Or perhaps the person didn't write it down in time or something

Person A: The number is 3 3 5 6 7 8 - 9 0 1.
Person B: could you read that back to me?
Person A: The number is 3 3 5 6 7 8 - 9 0 1.

The phrase is used as a way to get confirmation of something previously said.

Good luck,

Corey
