Which is correct:
1-I stood beside the window on the street.
2-I stood beside the window over the street.
3-I stood beside the window above the street.
In 1, is the window on necessarily on the ground floor? |

1. this sentence is correct if you are standing on the street and there is a window beside you.
2. means about the same as #3, but does not sound as natural as #3.
3. this sentence is correct if you are in a 2nd story apartment looking down at the street which is next to the building that you are in.
