Sources are origins (where it came from or where it began), such as:

The sources of a newspaper.
The source of the river Nile.
Buyers have sources (vendors) to get needed products and services.

Resources are things which are used to help or guide you, such as:

Human resources in a company (personnel).
When you study - the library, internet, newspapers, magazines, books and articles are all resources; even your teacher is a resource.
Your mind can be a resource.
