The egg is lent by a duck, because the duck is a good friend of the hen.
Why the hen borrowed it was because they had a serious domestic quarrel and the hen wants to get separated from her partner.
As they are not able to go to the registry office, the only way is to find another partner.
Because the hen has only a duck as friend and because chicken eggs look similar to duck eggs, and because she wants to show off that with another partner she can even give birth to bigger eggs, and to make her partner angry, she chose this way. _________________ If I say "I love you" to someone, then I also have to say "I love inside you everyone else. Once upon a time, there was a hen. She had a wonderful coat, white like snow and soft like velvet. She knew that, too, and that was why she was very proud and arrogant. She always boasted, and pranced around the place where she lived together with all the other hens and c-ocks. Normally, the other hens just ignored her, but one day the beautiful hen overreached herself. Blind as she was in her arrogance, she remained where she was - in the feeding ground! - when the c-ock came to pick up some corns. naturally it was his right to pick up the first corns when the farmer fed them and every hen stayed away until he had enough. Because he was a kind-hearted and wise c-ock, he never took too many corns so no one must remain hungry.
So, when the beautiful hen didn't make room for him but even had the nerve to pick up some corns herself, the animals were shocked!
Also the c-ock was bemused. No one ever had disputed his right! But on the other hand this was a hen, no c-ock, so he couldn't challenge and fight her..
The hen noticed his hesitation and that encouraged her. Condescending, she looked at the c-ock and spread her wings in a way c-ocks did when they wanted to shoo away anyone.
That was too much! While the c-ock stayed, too surprised by this impudence, another, much younger c-ock quickly came to the feeding ground and angrily pecked at the hen. Now he spread his wings and crowed menacingly. However, when the young c-ock started to strike the hen, the c-ock interfered and kept him from hurting the hen. Although her behaviour was really impudent, it didn't legitimate violence.
Deflated by this unexpectedly violent reaction, the hen realized what she had done. It shamed her, that she had let herself be blinded by her proud so much. She couldn't believe it! Slowly she backed off to the hen-coop and stayed in the rear corner until the sun arose in the next morning..
She never bragged about her still wonderful coat again and always waited until every other hen was done with eating.
That's how it came that a c-ock pecked and striked a hen
PS: HEY!! This stupid forum *beep*ed my story!! (I used c-ock without a - ...) God! _________________ Don't cry because it's over - smile because it happened!
