Hello, everyone.

I have a question.

Some people say that "Have you met her?" should be not used, and they say that "Did you meet her?" should be used instead.

Is it true? I don't know how native speakers say.

I hope that someone helps me.

Hello!
But I thought that one can say "Have you ever met her?", too?! so that it means if you know that person.
I think "Did you meet her" is correct and used in every case! maybe you can use the other sentence in colloquial English, too...
greets Very Happy

Both ways are fine. One form of the question uses present perfect (continuous) tense; the second uses simple past tense.

If people ask "Have you met her?" they might wonder if you have met her YET. There really isn't much difference that I can think of between the two expressions.
