This old riddle can be solved systematically by simply drawing 5 adjacent houses then filling in information for each house. Start by putting down the information you know for sure (ie: the first belongs to the Norweigian) then work your way up, eliminating impossible combinations in the process. It's really just testing your knowledge on the constraints placed on each house.
