Which one is better?

1. He loved his next-door cute girl.
2. He loved a cute girl next door.

1. is charming and poetic. It's not standard and you'd get some looks if you said it though. I'd invert "next-door" and "cute" however... sounds like something Hemingway would write. But I would have to judge it "incorrect" by the book, much as I do admire it.

2. is good, although I'm guessing that the desired meaning is probably better conveyed with "the cute girl ....". But that gets into what you intend to say, and I'm not a mind-reader. Laughing
