Hi everyone,
I am a Chinese. I have learned English since I was in kindergarten. During my schoolings, most of my subjects are in English except Chinese and Chinese history. However, I still find prepositions are hard to cope with. It is hard to memorize them all as it changes in different situations. Is there any way to master it?

The best way to learn the correct use of prepositions in my opinion is to use them in conversation.

Good luck,

COrey

Thank you for your suggestion. However, in Hong Kong, our conversations are mainly in Cantonese. And it is not common to find a foreigner to converse. We learn English mainly from books and local teachers. Or we can learn it through radio, tv. and DVD. It is our limitation of learning foreign language

In that case I would suggest you practice writing. Pick a topic - anything really - and right a paragraph or two. Then show it to your teacher or post it for someone to correct.

Good luck,

Corey
