Hi Teo,
Either is correct. But, they say slightly different things.
1. There are many kinds of interesting food here.
There is a variety of interesting food here.
2. There are many interesting kinds of food here.
There are many interesting variations of food here.
The first stresses the variety of interesting food.
The second stresses interesting variations of food.
So, what's the difference!!??
The first is impressed with the "variety" of interesting food.
The second is impressed with the "interestingness" of the variety.
