Hello everyone.

There are two similar, though a little different, versions of a passage below. In each passage, which is more natural, #1 or #2?

1. We watched a baseball game at Tokyo Dome yesterday. The game was very exiting, with everyone shouting loudly for their favorite players. Ichiro caught a ball with his arm out over the fence, successfully saving a home run. We (1. came, 2. went) home, quite satisfied with the outstanding plays we had seen.

2. We live in Nagoya. Yesterday we came to Tokyo to watch a professional baseball. In the evening we went to Tokyo Dome. The game was very exiting, with everyone shouting loudly for their favorite players. Ichiro caught a ball with his arm stretched out over the fence, successfully saving a home run. We (1. came, 2. went) home, quite satisfied with the outstanding plays we had seen.

Best regards,
fw
