Hi,

If somebody asks for my boss over phone and my boss is not in the office at that moment because he is a sales manager and went out to meet some customers. Can I say like this to him: "He is out."

You could say that, but it probably would be a good idea to add a little bit in the interest of politeness.

Something like "I'm sorry, but he is out of the office right now. May I take a message for you?" might be better. (If you say this, though, you are likely to get asked to take a message and/or to say when the boss will return.)
