Dave or whoever can help,

Recently my wife and I became US Citizens. I wrote a note to thank a group of people that hosted a party for us. I posted it below.Would you please correct any mistakes and make suggestions to it, if needed?, Thanks

"Thank you so much for all the love and appreciation expressed to us last Sunday night through the reception, gifts and the very sincere kind words and hugs that came from you. This is indeed the greatest place to live in this world. What makes this country so great?, answer:
God and you, His people. Those who have embraced us as their family and friends. It is an honorable privilege to be a citizen of this country. But not more honorable than being considered your friend and your brother and sister in Christ.

Thank you for rejoicing with those who rejoice and sharing this wonderful land with us!"

I think your letter is very well done and would be appreciated by whomever you send it to. The only thing I saw was "honorable privilege" for which I probably would have substituted "It is an honor and a privilege..."
