Hi Redrose

In the new comic, the voices are my friends and I. We recorded lots of episodes of the comic all in one evening in December.

One of my best friends is a sound engineer, and he edited all the episodes together and added sound effects. The original files sound great - really clear - but the files on the site seem to have lost a lot of their quality. I'm looking at ways to improve them at the moment.

I'm the voice of Alpha-bot the robot in each story, and I'm also the voice of the mayor, one of the security guards and Uncle Uncountable. We only had five 'actors' so each person had to do quite a lot of different voices.

Glad you like them!

Brian

Yes. Bud, I have many ideas and I am not afraid to express my opinion.

And I have many ideas on what this forum should not be.

I have no problem with anyone expressing an opinion, Clonc. It does raise my hackles, though, when the tone used in expressing those opinions is dictatorial or abusive (e.g., your recent comments to Hela).

I've seen you in here from time to time and have never had anything but respect for your contributions to the students. I'm just wondering why the recent change in tone.

Please continue expressing your opinions. But if you want anyone to take them seriously, please also do it in a respectful way.

Dear bud, I had never seen such a phrase until I read your msg. I guess it means "it won't make me angry", right? and I guess that it is a typical American expression. would you please tell me? thanks in advance.

and Brian, I just visited your page again, when I showed your picture to my friends, who were around me. guess what they said? you won't believe! they said:"This guy must be an African!" Laughing Laughing I laughed and told them:"NO!! he isn't! I thought the same way when I saw his picture at the first time! but believe me, he is a 100% British!"

Brian, your picture must have been taken in a dark light, that's why people misread you! Very Happy

Why don't we plug Lorikeet's web page?

http://fog.ccsf.cc.ca.us/~lfried/

It is excellent for those wanting to learn English Grammar.

Perfectly reasonable point. Bud. I take it. (But there are some things that get my hackles up too)

But I will try to be more circumspect.

Huh? Advoca, that comment was not for you. I'm glad you agree, though.

My New Year resolution (the Chinese New Year, that is) is to read mails more carefully. (Guilty conscience?) Embarassed

I hope clonc will read your comment and be more circumspect too!

No way! I am the original recalcitrant roughneck.

I say what I want to say, and when things get my hackles up I hackle back.

But deep down I am a loveable guy. Underneath that rough exterior beats a heart of stone.
